Humanist Principles

We hold that knowledge of the world is derived by observation, experimentation, and rational analysis.

We understand humans are an integral part of nature, the result of unguided evolutionary change.

We think ethical values should be derived from human needs and interests as tested by experience.

We find fulfillment in our lives from individual participation in the service of humane ideals.

We are social by nature and find meaning in relationships.

We believe working to benefit society maximizes our individual happiness.

We recognize that upholding equality and diversity protects the well-being of others and the planet.
